Bouquet: Complex with intense aromas of black plum, blueberry, blackberry and dried rose petals, accentuated by mineral and balsamic tones.

Taste: Creamy, satiny texture is framed by fine, ripe tannins that are very well integrated. The freshness and soft flare of acidity create subtle tension with flavors of black fruit, herbs, espresso and cocoa. A delicate bitterness of dark chocolate lingers on the finish. The strength, precision and elegance ofPrimo Passo 2020 make it undoubtedly non-fungible.

Vinification

Vinification: Only the finest grapes from the best vineyard sites, which contribute additional strength to the ripening process, qualify for our Primo Passo. With meticulous attention during harvest, our family and friends hand-select Merlot grapes, choosing only the perfect berries of the highest quality, which are carefully placed in small boxes. These grapes undergo a controlled drying process in a cool, well-ventilated room, enhancing their sugar, acid, and aroma concentrations. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the young Primo Passo wine is aged in carefully selected French oak barriques for approximately 2 years.

current vintage

2020 was an exceptional year for Stradivini. Early rainfall created ideal soil conditions for initial sprouting, which began in late March. Favorable weather in spring and early summer ensured excellent flowering and berry development. August brought perfect ripening conditions, with consistently mild temperatures lasting until harvest. The mid-September harvest yielded grapes of outstanding quality. From the outset, we recognized the great potential of the hand-picked and selectively harvested fruit. This vintage continues to delight and surprise us, promising lasting memories for years to come.
